Soul Of The World

I was delighted to be invited by my ex-boss to the KL Hilton Hotel appreciation dinner. The theme for the night was really unique. A wine oracle production and show blending sumptuous cuisine, exquisite wines and arts.

Dress code were absolutely fun where ladies wore strappy summery numbers and men casual attire. No tie required.

The whole dinner experience brought us to the world's most exciting cities such as Paris, Madrid, Venice, New Orleans and Buenos Aires, all through spectacular visuals, music and dance. The excellent menu the chefs prepared were superbly delicious and exquisite. *thumb up*

The mood was heightened by the performance of Stephanie Reese, soprano singer and stage talent who enchanted us with her angelic voice that transported us through the 'journey' to each city.

Life is Good!! *smile*

Open House

Hari Raya Open House.

The best thing I like aboout Hari Raya Open House is savouring the malay delicacies. Ketupat, lemang, nasi impit, kuah kacang, rendang ayam ( I don't take beef ), masak lodeh, ayam masak merah and lots more. So greedy. Yum...Yum!!

We were invited to an open house held in Seri Melayu Restaurant, Jln Conlay on the weekend. I enjoyed the food very much. I had at least 3 helpings as I simply love spicy food. Timothy only had the roti bom with a lil bit of dahl and some satay cos most of the food were too spicy for him.

I came back a happy woman after having a feast. *wink*

School Reunion.

Group Shot.

I left school ( Father Barres' Convent, Sungai Petani) in year 1991. Since then, I have lost touch with most of my classmates and school mates. As you know, everybody went their separate ways and so forth.

A dinner was organized by an ex-school mate, Joanna who painstakinly took about 4 months to arrange for this gathering. She got everyone together through e-mail, corresponding with one another despite everyone's busy schedule/ lives and made this possible. Bravo!!

We were gathered in the coffee house in One World Hotel for dinner. What a special gathering where we recalled and shared memories among ourselves. Some were pleasant and some were quite embarrassing moments. hahaha.

We had definitely came a long way since then. Wishing everyone 'All The Best' and hope we shall meet again soon. I'm glad my sis, Theng took the time to come down from Penang for this too. *wink*

Timothy's School Concert.

Educare's Concert 2007

It's the time of the year again!! Timothy's Annual School Concert. The children and theirs teacher had been practising hard for this special event for the past month. Daddy & mummy were so looking forward to it.

I woke up really early (not a norm for me ok), dressed Timothy up in his costume and put some make-up on him which he did not like it at all. He insisted I rubbed off the lipstick coz it taste yucky!! hahaha. The concert was held in The Auditorium of Securities Commission, Bukit Kiara. Comfortable chair seatings and unblocked view of the stage.

Timothy's was involved in a play where he played the role of a Father Goat. He did so well. Daddy and mummy were so proud of him. Well done, my boy!!!

My lil "Father Goat."

Timothy & Marissa. Father Goat & Mother Goat.

His lines went like this:- "I am Father Goat. I care for all my children. I always tell them to lock the door and never open the door to strangers."

His lines together with Mother Goat:- "We always tell our kids to be careful of the naughty wolf."

Shaking his bum bum.

Shake.....shake.....shake.

UGLY

This a tough read. It's an autobiograhical story of a terrible childhood. A true compelling story of Constance Briscoe. She is one of Britain's first black woman judges to tell of her own miserable childhood.

Rejected by her mother at the age 11. She applied to be taken into care. Sent home, she endured 2 more years of emotional abuse until her mother left her. Disturbingly honest book.

Well, I think I shouldn't be reading all this very sad books. The weather is unpleasantly gloomy outside. Timothy is out with his daddy. So depressingly quiet at home without my boy. Sentimental music is playing at the background. Geeez!!!. Feeling so melancholy now. I'm gonna 'cryyyyyyyyyy'. 'Cialat'.

Synopsis at the back of the book:-

I handed my school photograph to my mother. She stared from the photograph to me.

'Lord, sweet Lord how come she so ugly. Ugly. Ugly.'

These cruel words are just the beginning. Constance's mother systematically abused her daughter, both physically and emotionally, throughout her childhood. Regularly beaten and starved, the child was so desperate she took herself off to Social Service and tried to get taken into care. When Constance was 13, her mother simply moved out, leaving her daughter to fend for herself: there was no gas, no electricity and no food.

But somehow Constance found the courage to survice her terrible start in life. This is her heartbreaking-and ultimately triumphant-story.

Halloween

Latest artwork.

Halloween is just around the corner. My five year old boy showed me his painting and asked me.

Timothy: "Mummy!! Will evil witch comes out on Halloween day????"

Mummy: "Errrr.... No darling. There is no such thing as evil witch."

Timothy: "I think there is alot of evil witch(es) in the jungle. And all will come out on Halloween day."

As you can see from his painting, 3 witches flying on broom sticks. Wild imagination!!!

Timothy went bowling.

1....2....3.

Timothy loves bowling.

Timothy was invited to a birthday party held at the bowling alley in the Cineleisure, Curve. His first ever bowling experience and he was so excited.

It was such a fantastic idea to hold a birthday party at bowling alleys. The kids had a wonderful time bowling away in special designated lanes for children. What is so special was, there's two side bars to prevent the ball from going into the 'drain' ('long kang'). So no matter how they roll the ball, it cannot 'masuk long kang' one!!! hahaha.

Oh yes!! Lil tiny sizes bowling shoes were made available for all the kids. So very cute!!!

Friends Since Babies.

Lucas & Timothy at around 6 to 7 mths.

Lucas and Timothy have been playmates since they were just lil babies. I searched for their baby pictures in my computer files and found this. (above pix)

Look how lil they were. So adorable, right??!! Lucas is only a month older than Timothy. They get along pretty well.

Like any other kids their age, both of them are very competitive and hyper. They enjoy playing together till today. Recently, they started learning to call one another on the phone to arrange for play dates. *champion* Don't know what they'll come up next!

I hope they'll still be close friends when they grow up one day. *wink*

I got myself a couple of stuffs and my favourite purchased...... a pair of white heels. A gal could never ever have enough shoes. *wink*

Mandarin Tuition

Timothy & his tuition teacher.

Yes, extra mandarin lesson for my lil boy who literally pronounce any words in chinese like a "kuai low".

Every twice a week, mandarin teacher (Miss Tiew) will come to the house and give a one to one lesson for Timothy for an hour. He seem to be doing fine so far with the whole arrangement. I hope he'll be able to converse in mandarin fluently in future. *wink*

I walked into his room and *click click* a couple of picture of him.

Timothy: "MUMMY!! Why take picture of me???" *angry face*

Mummy: "So I can show daddy." *lied* (actually wanna post on the blog la)

Timothy: "Don't disturb me OK!!! I am BUSY laaaaaa."

Mummy: *walk out embarrass*

Splash!!!

Up...up...and away. SPLASH!!!

Sigh! I got to get back to the momentum of updating. Get the ball rolling again. *wink*

First, my camera went 'kaput' (out of order). So I sent it for repair. Without my camera, I felt really uninspired to blog. Well, I got it fixed! I'm back in action as my camera is as good as new.

I just recovered from a terrible flu that had developed into a bad cough. *cough cough cough* Was sick like hell. Medication made me so drowsy. Stoned. Lousy. Weak. I hate it!!!
