A lil bit of history...

My fixation recently is this book, a historical biography, Marie Antoinette, "The Journey" by author, Antonia Fraser. The iconic Queen of France of the 17th century who was married to the King VXI of France at a very tender age. A splendid story indeed...

I also watched the movie based on the true story. Directed by producer, Sofia Cappola. Starred by Kirsten Dunsten. A movie with wonderful graphics, colours and sights. Up-beat sound tracks as well but very lil dialogue on the script, though. I guess the aimed of the director is for the audience to feast the eyes.
I just 'Lovvvveeeeee' the antique jewels the ancient ladies were wearing. ;) So lovely la.

Marie Antoinette, aged 12 or 13. Before she was married off at 15.

Marie Antoinette with her children. Why an empty crib??????

Read the book and you'll find out la.

The Movie.

Another movie affiliated is based on a controversial true story involving Marie Antoinette. "The Affair of the Necklace". Starred by Hilary Swank. More of a thriller and romance perspective. A very valuable piece of necklace initially hoped to sell to Madame Du Barry but was later offered to Marie Antoinette and was declined. Magnificient plot!!!

The Affair of the Necklace. (thumbs up!!!)
