Wedding Banquet

The whole family was invited to a wedding in Marco Polo Restaurant. The bride works for my FIL as an Asst. Secretary for many years. A lovely gal.

Anyway, I do not want to sound 'obnoxious' but it was really a typical Cina wedding. Hahahaha. (as though, I am not a cina la ) The dinner started really really late. I think I was definitely over dress as most guests were in their plains. The bride and groom sang a few numbers on stage. They were pranked by their friends and asked to play a few games. The MC was speaking in mandarin. And yes, a lot of loud 'yam seng'!!!! *wink*

However, Timothy was having a blast. Eating cutlets of suckling pig, yam seng' with everybody and went along with the flow. It was a great experience for him, afterall.

Mummy: "That is so niceeee, Timmy." *kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss again*

Timothy: "Enough, mummy. Aiyoh!!" *walk away*

GA Workshop

A palette of colours. Just loved it!!

Was invited by Alex Eu for a Giorgio Armani Workshop in KLCC yesterday. A day of doing 'girlie stuff.' Putting on make up and trying out all the latest products. The best part, managed to pick up some make-up tricks from the experts and purchased the latest goodies as well.

Occasionally, I do enjoyed a day out without my son. (left him in my in-laws place) Hang out with my friends. Talk about everything and anything. Laughing. Joking. Drinking bubbly to take the edge off. And basically being around adults for a change la.

After beautifying myself *ahem ahem*, I was off for my hair appointment in Edwin Saw KLCC. I was playing with the idea of merely chopping off my hair as I'm so bored with it sometime but as usual, no guts la. Talk only.*tongue stick out* hahahahahaha. From there, I had an impromtu dinner with my sis Jeannie and Kimmy in Chinoz KLCC. I seriously had a great deal of fun just hanging out with the 2 gals. We should do it more often, ya!!! *wink*

Well, come to think of it. This is what I'd utterly address myself for a day like these. A Woman of Leisure! *smile*

Mother & Baby

A wonderful part of my life with my son was being on the Cover of Mother & Baby Magazine 3 years ago. Timothy was just only 15 mths when we did the photo shoot. It was a wonderful and memorable experienced that I shared with my boy.

In fact, he was just starting to walk at that time and it was a handful to get him to sit still. So much so that I had to run after him like a headless chicken. Ha!. But what was even more difficult was to get him to smile. Well, you can just imagine how hard it was to get that shot on the cover la . He was a very energetic baby and still is. The photography crew were all so patient. *salute*

I can proudly say that I will keep this magazine forever and in future, tell him all about our this amazing experienced when he is a grown up.

Interviewed and written by the editor of M&B magazine :-

Timothy is the BEST thing that has ever happened to us eventhough he was not a planned baby. My husband, Kenneth and I wanted to enjoy life together for a couple of years before starting a family but I guess GOD had other plans for us.

My first trimester of pregnancy was awful. I had evening sickness instead of morning. I would come home from the office and start throwing up once I got into the house. In a way, it was good because it actually did not interfere or affect me when I was at work (I was still working until two weeks before delivery)

Fortunately, my second and third trimester went by like a honeymoon! Except for the bout of vomitting and the occasional backache, which my husband helped to soothe by giving me back massages, I enjoyed my pregnancy. Seeing the changes to my body and feeling something inside me growing and moving was such a wonderful feeling and a miracle of sorts.

On the morning of my due date, I had a show but no contractions. Later in the night, I started to have mild contractions. My contractions were 10 mins apart when I was admitted. It turned out I had to endure 18 hours of labour before finally giving birth to Timothy. I think I would not have pulled through without the encouragement and support of my husband, who was by my side throughout the delivery.

Timothy is now 18 months old, and he has been a very good baby. He has never actually given me any major problems. He is a very happy, friendly and sociable baby. I see alot of my husband in him. He is just like his Daddy, personality and character wise.

Kenneth and I decided that it was best for me to be a stay-at- home mum because we wanted Timothy to be closer to both of us rather than the maid. We also want to be able to teach and guide him in the way we think is best for him.

Sri KDU

I consider myself a very typical "kia-su" mother coz I have already enroll Timothy to his school for Primary 1 in year 2009. "Don't play play. Afterwards no place already. How???" Hahaha

The Sri KDU Smart School *click*.

Since we have nothing interesting to do in the afternoon, hubby and I took Timothy to visit his future school. He was estactic and kept on asking us when he can start. hehehe

As a parent, after visiting the school many of times and also is acquainted with the founder and chairman of the school, I'm convinced that Timothy will be in good hands for his future Primary Education for now. *wink*

My Fair Lady

Mum and I went to see 'My Fair Lady' Broadway Musical yesterday nite. It was a belated mother's day pressie for us from hubby. *wink*

I can proudly say, I still remember most of the song lyrics. My favourite was "Wouldn't It Be Lovely". It was just splendid!!! It brought back so many memories when I was a lil gal as I could watch the movie (starring Audrey Hepburn) over and over again and never got tired of it.

We had the best seats of the house as it was arranged by Yvette, a good friend of mine who made this whole magnificient musical possible.

It was really a mesmerizing nite of memorable songs, hilarity and a delightful storyline. * Thumbs Up*

Hair Cut

snip...snip...snip

Timothy had his hair cut couple of days ago. Andy has been cutting Timothy's hair since he was a lil newborn. Therefore, he only allows and insist Andy to trim his hair till now. Nobody else!!!

Taking Timothy to his hair cut is always a fun affair as Andy & him have already formed a friendship and bond between them. They would be joking, laughing, chatting and fooling around. Anything Timothy wants, he will just accommodate him. Wash, blow dry, gel-up, spray and etc. Basically, he just adores Timothy.

Look at my spiky hair. Cool, huh!!!

Chic Nails

I went to an opening ceremony of my friend's nails shop. Chic Nailspa in Bangsar Village 2. I had a great deal of fun catching up with friends.
Every 2 weeks, I diligently have a mani & pedi as it's something I enjoy very much. I'd drop Timothy for his art lesson and off I go for my pampering for 2 hours. *wink*

Happy Mother's Day!

Wishing All Mummies A HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

As you can see, I got another card from my sweet boy. This time round, his school teacher must have helped him out. I am such a lucky mummy to have received not 1 but 2 beautiful cards on this special day.

Timothy came to my room this morning and started singing with action. It went something like this:-

(Same tune as the song London Bridge)

Thank you mum for all your hugs, all your hugs, all your hugs.

Thank you mum for all your hugs, they feel good to me.

Thank you mum for all your kisses, all your kisses, all your kisses.

Thank you mum for all your kisses, they feel good to me.

Thank you mum for all your love, all your love, all your love.

Thank you mum for all your love, they feels good to me.

"HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY" he screamed loudly. "My teacher call me to sing to you on mother's day, mummy!!" he said.

So sweet, rite??? This sweetness overload makes me so happy eventhough I'm feeling under the weather today.

Old & New

My old mini Ipod is so pale in comparision to my brand new Nano.

Music plays an important role in my life. I love listening to music when driving, showering, reading, dressing up and especially when I go for my walk in Kiara Hill. Without my ipod, my walk doesn't feel that inspiring and connected. No 'shiok' la!!

My old ipod is not working that well after 3 years of usage. The battery runs flat so quickly and normally half way through my walk, it just goes off. Hubby noticed my constant fussing regarding this, hence he got me a new Nano.

Got back home and saw a small lil box on the dining table.

Me: "Eh!!!! What is this?? Is this a Nano??? For me ah???" *eyes open wide wide*

Hubby: " Ya la. Somemore for who??" *serious face*

Me : "Thks dear!! How you know I want one in pink??"

Hubby : "As though I don't know. *eyes rolling up* You are always "@#%$#@&" and shaking your ipod in the air." I can see la. And I know I can NEVER go wrong with pink."

Me: "Hahahahahaha." *giggle in excitement* (At least, he got my hint afterall) *wink*

Early Mother's Day

The front view

Today, I got an early mother's day surprise from Timothy after his art class. A Mother's Day Card!!!!

The most beautiful & precious card I've ever had in my whole life. I was so touched and almost close to tears. Gave my boy non-stop kisses till he yelled "Mummy, STOP IT!!!" Hahahaha

The wording says it all.

Domestic Bliss

Being a stay at home mum, one of my chores is going to the market and do some cooking for my lil family. Eventhough I've a maid but I still love cooking myself.

I do quite enjoy going to the wet market in Tmn Tun. Touching, poking, pressing all kinds of vegetables and fruits. In general, planning and buying my necessary groceries and poultry. Similarly to cooking as well.

There are always a sense of satisfaction & fulfillment when I see my boy and hubby gobble down their meals happily. A simply domestic bliss!!! *wink wink*

Istana Hotel KL

I have the coolest kid *wink*

Attended a grand indian wedding in Istana Hotel. Brought Timothy along and he enjoyed watching the 'bangla' performances.

Timothy : "Mummy, all the men in the hat (turban) look alike!!! Are they all twins???"

Mummy: "Hahahahahahaha. (explained to my curious boy) "

Sometimes I really wonder what goes through my 4+ years old head.

Kids!!!

Timothy has been indulging in some funfilled time with his cousin, Jordan who came from S.P for my mum's bday gathering.
They were the best of frens during the first day here. Playing and sharing toys. The second day, there was a bit of confusion involved and the last, they were basically enemies. Hahahaha. Getting into each others nerve. Fighting, arguing, annoying one another and not sharing. Boysss!!!! Cialat!

My sis, Theng & I couldn't be bother as we can't keep up with them. Ha!!!!

Here are some random pics.

A Day of Celebration!!!

Mum celebrated her 60th birthday on the weekend. My incredibly close-knit family got together and the whole bunch of us stayed at Shangri-La, Putrajaya for the celebration.
We ate, drank and be merry. Had a fun bonding time.
