Sleep Tight, my baby!!!

Couple of months ago, my (almost) 5 years old started sleeping on his own. As much as I love Timothy to still sleep with daddy & mummy but part of me thinks it's about time. He is getting bigger by the day occuppying most of our king size bed. So much so, daddy was forced to sleep on the floor cos Timothy is such a bad sleeper.

Initially, mummy wasn't used to it. Need to hug my lil boy to sleep every nite, hence it is for the best. Mummy needs to slowly let go. :(

Timothy is off to bed by 8 - 8.30pm on schools day except weekends and holidays. The first few nights, he came walking back to our room and squeezed in between us. Daddy has to carry him back to his room many times.

Then after he knew he can't pull that off anymore, he started yelling for us. Exactly about a week later, he slept through the nite. He understands the concept of his baby monitor placed next to his bed now. He knows mummy & daddy can hear him if he calls for us.

Thus, he is so proud to tell all his friends he has been sleeping on his own as well. He announced to everybody he is no longer a baby. hehehe

And as for me, I'm just being a typical proud mommy. Hmmmmm..... My boy is growing up so quickly. *sigh*

Moll-System

Ordered Timothy a desk & chair from a good fren of mine, Alice. Her shop Bebehaus is a one-stop shop where I basically get my everything for Timothy since he was a lil baby and also gifts for my dear frens.

The first time Alice indroduce me to this table system. I was so impressed and convinced to purchase the set ASAP. A desk & chair 'adjustable' to suit any height with a wide choice finish and colours that grows with your child. A system so suitable for my lil boy as he spend lotsa time drawing, read and art/crafts. I truly think it is an excellent choice of investment for Timothy's growing years.

Placed an order for the basic runner compact table, the moll swivel chair (Maximo Forte) and the moll lamp (Mobilight).

Timothy personally chose the colours for his moll system. He wanted it blue and for the cushion cover, he wanted shark's print but the only things that came close to it was a dolphin design. Well, I suppose he can make do with that for the mean time. For now, he just has to wait la for about a month for his complete set to arrive. *smile*

Pool

Out of the blue on a weekend afternoon, after doing some grocery shopping in Bangsar, Ken & I decided to go for a game of pool. Deary me!! I have not played the game for a very long time. So off we went to this place called "Social" in Telawi Street.

It appears that I no longer play like I used to. I was dreadful or rather, shall I say...... I SUCK!!! What even more terrible was, Ken gave me 2 chances more for my turn and I still lost to him. HAHAHA.

In the midst of us competing, Timothy was busy entertaining himself at the chalk score board. I don't need to tell you. You can pretty much guess what he was drawing by now. *wink*

Earth Day

In conjunction with International Earth Day on the 22nd April, Timothy's pre-school (Educare) organized a "green market" day. The children sold fruits, healthy snacks, fruits juice and etc to parents and their friends.

The objective of this fun event is to educate the children on recycling, the beauty of nature and appreciating/ respecting Mother Earth.

Timothy was in charge of the fruits section and did a good job convincing mummy to buy lotsa fruits. *wink*

Profits from the sales was channeled to the Malaysian Nature Society and WWF. A 'fruitful' day indeed!!!

I wonder why Timothy is so into this song 'Girlfriend' by Avril Lavigne. He goes "HEY HEY, U U, I wanna be your galfren. NO WAY NO WAY." *Murmur murmur* *shake shake* And he repeats ....again and again and again. Like a broken record. OH Gosh!!! *giggle*

I watched the music video with him and I figured perhaps he was attracted to the up beat tempo of the song.

I was feeling exceptionally inspired while I was taking my usual power walk in Kiara hill. Took out my ever ready camera from my pouch and started taking shots of everything surrounding me. Everything was just utterly blissful. The air was so cooling. Very unlikely, I know, as it was raining cats and dogs earlier the whole afternoon. It was not packed with joggers like the usual weekend crowd. So quiet and serene.

I am proud to say I'm hooked on my walk still. Something I look forward to in the evening.

Oh yes!! I really need to share this. Cannot 'tahan'. I can't seem to understand why do people litter when they are surrounded with such beautiful greenary. My heart aches when I see rubbish scattered along the pathway. What morons.... Damn!

Essenze Gala Ball, Penang

Despite my disappointment of my default camera on my trip last week, my sis managed to get some snap shots from the event organiser's photographer. I am so pleased!!! *grin*

Had a wonderful sisterly bonding time last week in Pen. Stayed over at her lovely comfortable condo over looking the Ferringhi Beach. So nice!!! It has been quite awhile we've done this as we seldom get to see each other. Mostly on the phone 'yikety yak' la.

My short weekend, reminded me of the time when we were both not 'mummies' yet. We used to stay together in a rented apartment once and usually after work, we would spend alot of time talking about everything and anything. And now if we do get together, it's always with our boys around. *smile*

Dumb Dumb

YUP, I went to Penang and also to my hometown, Sungai Petani.

Me a "dumb dumb"!!!! Brought my camera along to Penang BUT with zero battery energy left. Totally flat. Did not bring the stupid charger also. SO... There is NO PICS to share. SORRY!!!!!!!

Can't even snap a bloody single shot. So frustrated. I realise I can't live without my beloved camera.

Under The Weather

I am feeling under the weather of late. Started with a dreadful sore throat, fever and chesty coughs. My energy has been slowly drained out. *sniff sniff*

I hate seeing a doctor despite Ken's constant advice for me to do so. Stubborn old me, I know!!! I thought perhaps by popping a few tablets of paracetamol, vitamins, lotsa water and plenty of rest I shall be alrite and back as pink of health in no time. The reason I hate seeing doctor becoz I really dislike taking anti-biotic medication for a few days duration. Screw up my system. :P

My poor throat got so bad till the virus has attack my vocal cord area. I opened my mouth and nothing came out. Ken rushed me to see a GP and he said if I'd have taken anti-biotic earlier, it would prevent it from getting so worse. :p

So there goes......I can't speak or make any sound. No voice comes out from my mouth. 'elek-pocit' I AM DUMB.....Mute!!! I got to sign to everyone. Lucikly my boy still understand his mummy. Ken commented he likes the 'Me' now coz very quiet la, no nagging, no singing, so peaceful. Wait la when I am better he sure kena from me. hahaha

I'm laying down on my bed. Sulking. Feeling very sorry for myself. I actually got a 'karaoke' bday party of my nephew, Ivan that I'm unable to attend. Geeez!!! They are singing without me rite now for sure. Missing out all the fun laaaaaaaa. *pout*

Moreover, tomorrow I promised my sis, Soo Theng I'll go up to Penang for a Gala Dinner with her in Traders Hotel. Well, I'm not too sure I can make it still. I WISH MY VOICE WILL COME BACK WHEN I WAKE UP TOMORROW. *sad*

Went to AH tea spring/summer launch with Cherrie and Rachel last week. Nice new range of bags. I still think the bags are still by far very affordable compare to many other brands.

I am planning to order another 'Be a Bag' since mine (with Timothy's face) is quite ran down. I am not so 'champion' like my sis, Soo Theng which she dumped her whole 'Rio' bag in the washing machine. Damn keng!!! HAHAHAHA. By the way, the bag turned out fine, you know. I shall send mine for a dry cleaning. :P hehehe. Anyway, the pic on my bag is also out dated already la. Timothy was only 2 yrs old when I got it made.

First, I need to snap a good close up shot of my boy and I want it on 'The Weekend' bag. Prefer the bigger size now cos I got lotsa junk. :P

While I was unpacking, I got another surprise again la. Daddy arranged for his buddy, Mark to get a cake. My favourite fruit jelly vanilla cake!!! It seems Timothy knew about the surprise too. Timothy sang bday song aloud and helped mummy blew off the candles. Me so happy eventhough I was pretty exhausted. *wink wink*

I took some really cool pics from my Phuket trip. The scenic beach triggered my artistic side. Fully utilised the functions of my digital camera this time round. I am quite impressed after some little editting. Pics looked very pro, huh???

Playing Sand. Timothy loves the beach and the sun. He was quite reluctant to get into the water coz he said there are sharks. Wild imagination!!!

I prefer Karon Beach compare to Patong beach as it is not as crowded. It is also cleaner and the water is crystal clear. *thumbs up*
