My Recent Read.

I just finished reading Khaled Hosseini second novel. A Thousand Splendid Suns. I was unable to put it down and finished it within 2 days. I think it's a very beautifully written story. I enjoyed this book tremendously. It's different from alot of other books, feels very historically accurate and different in perspective and insite despite being fiction.

The story tells about two unfortunate women living in Afghanistan. And how misfortune ended them with a same cruel violent man and so on.

I felt a renew appreciation for my own life as a woman in this world after reading this book. And realise how privilege I am. At one stage through the book, I had to stop and I cried with empathy. So kesian!!

Well, whoever wanna 'pinjam', you're most welcome. Buzz me la. It's an amazing reading!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday Sabrina!

My lil niece, Sabrina Tan celebrated her 2nd birthday last weekend. Her mummy & daddy (my brother) had a party for her at the Kidzone in Hartamas mall.

Time really flies as I still remember vividly like it was only yesterday she was a lil newborn. Exactly 2 years has passed, she has grown into this lil pretty darling sweet gal that all our family members and close friends dote upon.

It was a fun party afterall with children running around at the play area and face painting corner available for kids.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Reason?? Been pretty busy as my mum was in town and also hubby just got me a new lil gadget. HTC Touch Handphone. *click here*

Been toying with it day and nite. Figuring out how to operate this tiny lil complicated object till I'm in the midst of going crazy. I'm just useless in all this 'gadgety thingy'. Cracking my head into pieces. I'm still reading the manual book like I'm about to sit for an important exam tomorrow. Cialat!!

I've been a loyal fan of Nokia handphones for many years but hubby suggested that I should have a change. As how he put it. Everyday eat "char kuey teow" also sien la. Once in a while change and try "hokkien mee".

Help!!! I need help! 'Act-sy' wanna follow people use 'canggih' handphone but now so 'blur' like 'sotong'!!!. *scratch head* hahahahahahha.

Timothy was invited to a birthday party. His lil best friend, Zachary's 4 year old sister Zara's birthday. It was held in Citron Restaurant Bangsar.

A wonderful princess fairy theme party. I like!!!! Basically everything was in pink. My favourite colour but not Timothy's, though. hahaha. But he had fun just hanging around with his best buddy and couple of his classmates. There were plenty of activities to entertain the kids.

We had a blast! It was a great party. Like what I always say, I simply loves birthday celebration. *smile*

18th Anniversary Tatler Ball

It's the time of the year again where hubby and I attended the annual Malaysian Tatler Ball. A very grand affair held in Shangri-La Hotel KL last nite.

The ball has indeed managed to outdo itself year after year once again. The scene was set for perfection till the tiniest detail - from the beautiful ballroom, best champagne, exquisite course dinner, great music, flowers, cigars and to the luxury door gifts. Everything was impeccably attention to every detail.

There was no doubt, everyone was elaborately dressed as well. Men in their best tuxedos and ladies adorned in their finest. Everyone was just absolutely glamorous. As for this year, I wore a black gown designed and ensemble done by the famous local designer, Khoon Hooi *click here*. *wink*

To top it off, the night ended up with everyone on the dance floor. Again, hubby and I did not missed out the fun. My high heels did not stopped me from dancing the nite away.

One amazing nite for hubby and me to catch up with friends and also for new friends to be made, to relax and party. *cheers*
